I wanted to share some great news with you. Google has decided to begin listing podcasts as part of the "Google Play" eco-system, meaning that for the first time, Android (mobile) and Google will now have podcasts! This is a great opportunity to expand your listenership to the Android / Google platform.
Google has launched a new "portal" which will allow you, as podcast owners, to list your RSS feed directly with Google. They will need to approve your podcast first, much like ITunes / Apple did. The roll-out began yesterday, where Google is now accepting applications before the hard launch of the service on Google.
To get your podcast listed you need to visit the following link:
Log in with your Google Account (or create one) and then submit your RSS feed to Google for approval.
If you are a client of KNVP Studios and need help finding your RSS feed, please contact me and I can help you with that.
This is a great opportunity to reach more people and subscribers, as Android / Google hasn't had a native ability to distribute podcasts until now. Think of the Google Play Store, just like the Apple ITunes Store, except for Android devices.
